Zaina Albofradi, MS, MHC-LP

As a therapist, Zaina aims to create a space to foster introspection, inner child healing, and self-compassion through the collaborative effort of both the therapist and client. Her style of treatment focuses on helping clients find patterns in their emotions, thoughts, and beliefs in order to gain insight into their current self. Your work together will aim for you to explore how reactions to present-day circumstances may be influenced by past events. Zaina may also implement trauma-focused or behavioral approaches that focus on processing, healing, and developing coping skills. Zaina is proud to be an inclusive therapist who offers space for people of any and all backgrounds.

Zaina specializes in anxiety, PTSD/trauma, and body image/self-esteem issues. She also works on inner child work and reconstructing negative self-talk. She takes into account the nuances and complexities of the human experience that shape lives and personal narratives.

When asked about her approach on healing, Zaina says:

"I believe that healing and change are not always a linear experience. These goals ebb and flow. As a therapist, I remain unbiased and offer reflection, confrontation, challenge, contemplation, and compassion.  My main goal is to foster a safe and supportive environment for you."

Zaina received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College. Zaina resides in upstate NY.  During her free time Zaina enjoys most outdoor summer/winter activities such as hiking, grounding, kayaking, and snowshoeing to name a few. Her greatest passion includes being immersed in new cultures through travel. Usually, you can find Zaina spending her time reading, working on her vegetable garden, and spending time with her family.
