Working under the supervision of licensed professionals, Rey is gaining experience in counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy, with the goal of developing skills to better serve clients. Rey is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their emotions, build resilience, develop coping strategies, and enhance self-confidence.
Rey holds a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Alfred University (2024) and is currently pursuing an Advanced Certification in Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, Rey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (2019), with a minor in Law, providing a solid foundation for understanding the intersection of mental health, education, and the justice system.
With over a decade of experience working with students with emotional disabilities in the Department of Education, Rey has developed a deep understanding of the social and emotional challenges young individuals face. This experience has enhanced Rey's ability to provide tailored, effective support. Certified in Social Emotional Learning and experienced in art therapy, Rey uses creative expression as a tool to help individuals explore emotions, reduce stress, and increase self-awareness.

Interested in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and youth mental health, Rey is dedicated to empowering clients by providing resources, coping strategies, and emotional support tailored to their unique needs. With a strong foundation in psychology, counseling, and criminal justice, Rey strives to make mental health care more accessible and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.
