Before pursuing her career in counseling, she spent ten years as a special education teacher, where she worked closely with children and their families, providing her with a strong foundation in understanding the diverse needs of individuals. Jamie also holds a Master’s degree in Childhood Education and Special Education from C.W. Post.

Jamie’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which she uses to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be impacting their well-being. She is committed to fostering a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable and heard. Jamie takes pride in her ability to listen attentively and deeply values the opportunity to help individuals work toward their goals. Above all, her focus is on providing a safe, confidential space where clients can openly express themselves and build a therapeutic partnership aimed at achieving lasting change and personal growth.

Jamie’s passion for animals extends to her 4-year-old Yorkie, Oona, who is always by her side and brings a constant source of joy and comfort. One of their favorite activities is snuggling together on the couch to watch TV, a simple yet cherished part of her daily routine. Outside of her professional life, Jamie enjoys nurturing her creativity through various hobbies, including interior decorating, arts and crafts, and gardening.
