Gurinder Kaur is a passionate and empathetic mental health counseling professional with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University, CW Post. She brings a strong academic foundation in psychology, having earned her B.A. in Psychology with Magna Cum Laude honors from SUNY Old Westbury, and also holds a B.A. in Business and Accounting from Panjab University in India.
With hands-on experience gained through internships and roles such as her time at Family Residential and Essentials Enterprises (FREE), Gurinder has worked closely with individuals to foster personal growth, support daily living skills, and facilitate psychoeducational groups. Her prior role in a law office in India also reflects her versatility and organizational strengths.
A dedicated advocate for psychological wellness, Gurinder has presented research at national conferences including the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS), and has served as President of the Psychology Club and a research assistant at SUNY Old Westbury. Her work has earned her multiple honors, including awards for academic excellence, research, and service.
Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, Gurinder is committed to serving diverse populations and contributing meaningfully to the field of mental health.
Outside of her professional life, Gurinder also enjoys the simple and meaningful moments that bring balance and joy. She loves listening to music and reading lighthearted books. She also enjoys cooking, often blending traditional and modern recipes. Gurinder love spending quality time with loved ones whether it's through shared meals, deep conversations, or just being present together.
