Anthony is a dedicated and grounded counselor-in-training currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the New York Institute of Technology. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queens College, where he also worked as a peer mentor. In this role, he gained valuable experience supporting and guiding young adults through life transitions, as well as financial and educational challenges;further strengthening his ability to connect with clients navigating similar experiences.
Anthony is passionate about creating a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and free from judgment. He recognizes that reaching out for support can be difficult, and he values building a strong, trusting relationship from the very first session. His approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, while integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Choice Theory. He works collaboratively with clients to explore their values, increase self-awareness, and better understand how their thoughts and behaviors influence their current situation. At the same time, he emphasizes personal responsibility and goal-setting, helping clients develop a clearer sense of direction and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to build.
Anthony is especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, or challenges with self-confidence and identity. He understands that this stage of life can feel overwhelming at times, and he strives to meet clients where they are while supporting them in building clarity, direction, and resilience.
Anthony believes that every individual has the ability to grow and create meaningful change in their life. His goal is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, strengthen their existing abilities, and move forward with greater confidence.
Outside of the therapy room, Anthony values an active lifestyle centered around self-care. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, taking walks, going to the movie theater, and trying new restaurants. These activities help him maintain balance and bring a grounded, energetic presence into his work with clients.
